Motorcycle Used: husky 350, klx650

Type of roads/trails: fireroads /highway/doubletrack

Difficulty: easy-intermediate on dirt bike/advanced on ADV

Ride Description: all day loop over Otay mountain to Corral OHV, no guarantee that gates on border areas west of Tecate will be open or accessible, usually closed. Intended to cut back through Skye Valley Rd to Jamul but it's VERY GATED... no pass, had to take looong loop back. Took 11 hours including breaks and lunch. Any evidence of trespassing etc is satellite inaccuracy or track editing in google earth.

I wouldn't advise the Single Track (you didn't mention) down into Corral Cyn for Adv bikes, 650 is about the max.

We go up it and then dirt road all the way to Alpine.

We also continue east along the border to the PCT trail head. Photo on top of PCT post is cool.

I guess that's what I meant by "advanced" for ADV, but you're right.

Also our intent was to head up the west face of Tecate mtn. and cut over the top, but the trail going up was steep and extremely rutted. I was mostly worried for my Dad on the 650 getting up there, but it looks worth it if you want a challenge. Note this area is usually behind a locked gate and I wouldn't plan around it being accessible, we just got lucky.
