Motorcycle Used: XR650R

Type of roads/trails: Single track / fireroads / sand wash / Roads

Difficulty: Dual Sport trip. you could take a big bike but there is a lot of deep sand. Vehicle must be street legal.

Ride Description: Went to Vegas for work and thought I would take the interesting way. The ride starts in Palmdale and meanders it's way to just south of the four corners. From there it heads east to Barstow. From there it goes through Yermo (stop at Peggy Sue's for lunch) on it's way to a series of sand washes that connect onto the Mojave Road. Baker for gas and a bite then back onto the mojave road until you get about to Kelso. From there you jump onto the Kelso Cima Road until it dead ends into Ivanpah Rd. Keep going straight to cut over to just south of Primm. You can jump onto the 15 to get to Primm, or you can take the tracks. Either way stop in Primm for gas and keep going. It is a fun ride and can be done in a long day.

I pulled the tracks from other people on here, owlsheadgps.com, and advrider. The first part to Palmdale is a mix of Countdown and owls head. Once you hit Barstow I took the route that was created by "discofever" posted on advrider.

If I create a ride report I will post a link to it here later.
enjoy!

Hey Hey HEY!!!! There's no "i" in dscofever Wink

I hope you enjoyed the ride. It makes me happy when people enjoy the trip. How was the ride from Primm to Vegas? I've never taken that route, we always seem to take the western routes on those tracks more.
