Is the file a GPX or a GDB? The files on this Forum are usually GPX (as per the instructions on How To Use The Forum), but I noticed your Test Upload was a GDB.

If the file you are downloading really is a GDB, then it should Save OK and/or Open in Mapsource.

If it is a GPX file you cannot Save As a GDB without first opening it in Mapsource, and then using Saving As.

The other issue might be that it's a GPX file but your computer is not set up to associate Mapsoure (or Basecamp) with GPX files - and then when you double click them they open as "text".

If you think the file is gpx but opens in text, first just save the file to your hard drive, then add ".gpx" sufix then try to open it.

I have had this happen twice.
